Full Job Description

Al Shifa Trust Eye Hospital seeks a dedicated Assistant Manager for Allied Hospitals to oversee day-to-day hospital operations with a focus on hospital administration, regulatory compliance, and quality assurance. This role involves managing a team of 20 persons and ensuring adherence to healthcare regulatory standards and GxP guidelines to maintain high quality and risk management in patient care environments. The candidate works closely with medical staff and other department heads to foster a cooperative and efficient operational atmosphere. The ideal candidate holds a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Healthcare Management, Hospital Administration, or an MBA, complemented by 5 or more years of progressive experience in hospital administration, including at least 3 to 4 years in a managerial role. Professional certification in Healthcare Management is highly preferred. Strong skills in Hospital Resource Planning software, excellent communication capabilities, and demonstrated leadership in healthcare workforce management are essential to succeed and drive continuous improvement throughout the hospital’s allied services.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage the overall daily operations of allied hospital services to ensure efficient and effective healthcare delivery aligned with Al Shifa Trust Eye Hospital’s mission.
  • Lead and supervise a team of 20 staff members, providing coaching, mentorship, and performance evaluations to foster professional development and team cohesion.
  • Implement and monitor healthcare regulatory standards and GxP guidelines to maintain compliance and uphold quality assurance across all hospital units.
  • Coordinate with medical staff to enhance operational protocols, ensuring quality risk management and compliance with health care policies and procedures.
  • Oversee audit management processes by preparing documentation, executing internal audits, and facilitating external regulatory inspections.
  • Utilize Hospital Resource Planning software to allocate resources effectively and optimize hospital capacity and patient flow.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives focused on hospital operations, patient experience, and staff engagement.
  • Maintain cross-departmental communication for smooth operational workflow and to support hospital administration objectives.
  • Develop and execute strategies for healthcare workforce management including recruitment, scheduling, and retention aligned with organizational goals.
  • Ensure compliance with industry best practices and standards through regular training, updates, and policy implementation.
