Full Job Description

The role encompasses comprehensive responsibilities including business process development, assessment, governance, and risk management, all aimed at driving operational excellence and digital innovation. The Deputy Director will play a key role in business transformation initiatives by supporting executive reporting, benchmarking, and ensuring that core business and IT systems achieve high efficiency and scalability. With a strong foundation in project management, Lean Six Sigma methodologies, and expertise in business process modeling tools, the Deputy Director will ensure that Independent System and Market Operator (ISMO) maintains a competitive edge through continuous process innovation and alignment with the organization’s strategic vision.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop, implement, and manage the organization-wide Business Process Administration and Reengineering (BPAR) strategy, ensuring it supports business goals and digital transformation priorities.
  • Oversee the centralized Business Process Repository by maintaining accurate documentation, version control, and ensuring all stakeholders have proper access to critical business process information.
  • Manage the standardization of business processes, operational manuals, and job descriptions to promote efficiency, reduce variability, and enforce compliance across operations.
  • Design, maintain, and apply a Process Quality Assessment Index to measure the maturity and effectiveness of business processes, enabling continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Lead efforts to identify process inefficiencies through analysis and drive improvements using established methodologies such as Lean Six Sigma, process optimization, automation, and reengineering.
  • Coordinate and manage change management initiatives effectively in collaboration with ISMO, IT, and other cross-functional teams to facilitate smooth transitions and adoption of process and system enhancements.
  • Partner closely with IT departments to align process automation and digital transformation projects with business needs, ensuring the integration of emerging technologies within workflows.
  • Support enterprise architecture management by contributing to the governance of technology, data, and application frameworks to ensure solutions are scalable and aligned with business objectives.
  • Lead business analysis for key platforms including MMS and SDXP Portal by identifying functional gaps, proposing improvements, and managing requirements to enhance system capabilities.
  • Develop and contribute to performance monitoring frameworks and business intelligence initiatives that track process outcomes, support decision-making, and highlight areas for operational gains.
  • Assist in conducting benchmarking studies and implement industry best practices to continually enhance business process performance and maintain a competitive advantage.
  • Evaluate business process risks by conducting thorough assessments, determining impact, and developing appropriate mitigation strategies to ensure compliance with regulatory and operational standards.
  • Support executive reporting by preparing detailed analyses, summaries, and presentations related to business process improvements and transformation initiatives.
